THE RHS Malvern Spring Festival will tomorrow (Thursday) throw open its gates and welcome in a flood of visitors from all over the country.

Nearly 100,000 visitors are expected to descend upon Malvern's Three Counties Showground to enjoy the impressive four-day event.

This year Mary Berry and Alan Titchmarsh both appear on the bill, and visitors can also enjoy a host of stunning show gardens, nursery displays, stalls from food producers and top tips from celebrity chefs and gardeners.

Ken Nottage, chief executive of hosts the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: "We couldn’t be more excited to open the gates to the public tomorrow.

"Walking around the showground I have been amazed once again by the incredible standard both exhibits, show gardens and the floral marquee is something to behold.

"There are tantalising smells wafting from the food and drink pavilion and the sun has well and truly got his hat on it’s going to be another fantastic show."

The Festival is the Royal Horticultural Society's first major outdoor gathering of the year and will attract coverage on the BBC programme Gardeners' World on Friday evening.
