A former pupil returned to Nunnery Wood High School to talk to the school's library club.

Novelist Chris Horn came to talk to students about his miscellany of funny animal poems called Does a Yeti Eat Spaghetti?

Mr Horn taught English in Worcestershire High schools for twenty years and returned to the classroom to help inspire new generations of readers.

The book is aimed at children and enables them to dip in for quick reads.

He was also impressed with the library club members' attempts at writing their own humorous animal poetry and researching unusual animal facts.

Mr Horn has been invited to return to library club before the end of the summer term when he hopes to read an extract from his new book - a fantasy based fiction novel.

He has also been asked to consider being Nunnery’s patron of reading to help promote and inspire students to read.

The visit took place on Wednesday, April 20.
