DRIVERS are being warned to avoid the A38 by Avoncroft Museum in Bromsgrove tonight (Wednesday).

Worcestershire Highways has warned that the lorry which spilled its load on the M5 has caused the A38 to be heavily congested.

The A38 is also closed tonight for resurfacing which is also causing a build up of traffic.

It will reopen at 6am tomorrow (Thursday).

Highways England has warned that two lanes of the M5 between junctions 5 and 4a are going to remain closed for some time.

"We're awaiting suitable machinery to get this load cleared. Delays are reducing."
