RESIDENTS at a Stourport care home were horsing around when two four-legged friends trotted along for a visit.

Two Shetland ponies, called Fran and Flicka, visited Areley House Care Home, in Areley Lane, and were a huge hit with the residents.

Lisa Cooper, activities co-ordinator at Areley House, said: “The faces of the residents literally lit up when the ponies were brought up to see them – many of the residents said they used to have ponies when they were younger and it was lovely to hear them reminiscing and seeing their beaming smiles throughout the visit.

“The ponies were very well behaved and patiently went to each resident individually. It was truly a magical experience.”

Fran and Flicka, are owned by Vicky Frost of Felicity Care, which is also based in Stourport.
