MORE than 100 Rock Choir members from Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Redditch raised £265 for Brierley Hill Samaritans when they took to the stage at Amblecote's Glasshouse Arts Centre.

The concert on Friday July 22 saw the choir, led by leader Christa Hugo, performing feel-good classics such as Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now and Erasure hit A Little Respect.

Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir.

Budding members do not have to audition to join or need singing experience - or be able to read music.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 8pm to 9.30pm at the Glasshouse Arts Centre, Wollaston Road, Amblecote, and the choir performs at a host of events throughout the year - often raising money for charity.
