THE electricity supply has been restored to homes following a power cut in the Malvern area.
Western Power Distribution (WPD) sent out a tweet shortly before 1.30pm today (Tuesday) to say there had been a power cut in the WR14 area.
Power was lost at 2,700 properties, however most were quickly reconnected, leaving just 271 without electricity.
The power cut was caused by an underground cable fault.
WPD engineers have been on site working to fix the problem and power was restored shortly after 3pm.
All properties have now been reconnected.
Were you been affected by the power cut? Let us know @worcesternews
All supplies in #Malvern #WR14 and the surrounding areas have now been restored. Apologies to all customers affected. Ellie
