BUFFERY Park will no longer host the Forget Me Not Fete this weekend after travellers moved onto the site.
After at least 40 caravans arrived at the Prospect Row park today (Thursday), the decision was made to change the venue.
Saturday’s event, which will run from 11am and 4pm, will not be held at Sledmere Primary School.
There will be live entertainment between 12noon and 3pm and stalls, facepainting and a bouncy castle to keep youngsters entertained.
A blue and yellow balloon release will take place at 3pm and a raffle will be drawn at 3.30pm.
All funds raised will be donated to the elderly care and dementia unit at Russells Hall Hospital.
For more information or to book a stall, call Leah Marshall on 07525362347.
