CHILDREN from a Worcester school have planted snowdrops to learn about the meaning of the snowdrop to St Richard's Hospice.
Youngsters from St George's Catholic Primary School planted four bulbs each in the forest school area and the school grounds.
The children planted 1,000 bulbs, which had been donated by St Peters Garden Centre.
Jayne Sargeant, fundraising manager of the hospice, brought the bulbs to the school on Friday, October 21.
Headteacher Gill Gittins said: "We were delighted to take part and raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.
"The school grounds will look beautiful in the springtime, and will be a reminder to the children about St Richard's Hospice."
In return the children held a second hand book sale and raised in excess of £150 for St. Richards Hospice.
