HALLOWEEN is nearly here and to make sure nobody is left with nightmares police have issued the following advice to trick or treaters.

West Mercia Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team are asking Trick or Treaters to follow some sensible guidelines so they can have fun without getting into trouble this Halloween.

1. Adults should always accompany young children when they are Trick or Treating.

2. Please don't knock on the door of strangers, only go to the houses of people you know.

3. Keep to well lit areas, carry a torch, wear bright clothing and remember Road safety.

4. Unless pre-arranged, do not visit elderly or vulnerable people living in the community.

5. Keep any of your tricks within the law, if not, the Police will be taking the appropriate action.

6. Eggs and flour can cause damage and considerable distress, don't be tempted to throw eggs or flour.

7. If anybody is displaying a "Sorry, No Trick or treat" poster, please stay away from the address.

8. Please don't let your fun become Anti Social Behaviour.

Anyone affected by anti social behaviour should contact police on 101 with any details which will help to identify those responsible.
