OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary at a property in Kidderminster.

The incident took place between 3.45am and 4.15am on Monday morning (December 5), when two men entered a property in Old Chester Road South.

The men threatened the two occupants and one of them was then made to open a safe in the home.

The offenders then stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.

The suspects are described as two men, who were both wearing dark or black clothing, gloves and ski masks.

It is believed both of the men spoke with Irish accents.

Detective Constable Thomas Pritchard said: "This was a frightening incident for the victims and we are extremely keen to trace the offenders.

"Additional patrols are taking place and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the community.

"Investigations are ongoing and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who has information that could help us."
