A LUDLOW opticians is celebrating after being presented with the Excellence in the Community Award at the 2016 Specsavers Awards for Excellence.
“This is such an unbelievable accolade! This year we really focused on fundraising in the local community and pledged to raise £5,000 for Brain Tumour Research and Hope House Hospice,” said Nicole Aubrey, director of Specsavers in Ludlow.
“Our awards entry was a magical land which showcased our journey of community events over the past two years and was a collaborative effort by the team. We are thrilled that the judges recognised us in the awards and are so pleased with the outcome.
“We want to say a big thank you to Ludlow residents, because without their support we wouldn’t be up for such an award and are looking forward to contributing even more to the community - Ludlow is a small town, but it’s our town and we love it!”
In reaching their decision, the judges took into account involvement and engagement with the local community.
