MODEL railway buffs are going full steam ahead with plans to host their fifth annual exhibition in Cradley Heath.
The Cradley Heath Model Railway Club’s latest exhibition – featuring more than 21 track layouts and a range of trade support – will be at the club’s base at the town’s community centre, in Reddal Hill Road, on Saturday, October 14.
Among the tracks on show will be a TTe layout based in south of the Czech Republic, a layout based on an area close to the French/German border, a battery operated layout with working cranes and a static display of the Motley sub shed.
There will also be a number of 00 gauge sets, with one from Derbyshire, one symbolic of the Shropshire Union yard in Shrewsbury and one including a tramway set from 1948 to 1955 with Corgi trams.
Entrance to the event, which will take place between 10am and 4.30pm, costs £4 for adults, £3 for children aged four to 14, and free for under fours.
Family tickets for two adults and up to two children cost £10, while free car parking, wheelchair access and refreshments will be available.
