A REDDITCH hotel is undergoing a £1million makeover, and will be creating a number of new jobs.
The Southcrest Manor Hotel is redeveloping various areas of the 97-year old manor house and grounds, following increased guest numbers over the past year.
This includes the revamp of 48 bathrooms, the parking area, gardens and corridors, as well as new hot water and insulation systems.
Over the next year, a new outdoor hot tub area, leisure and beauty facilities, and refurbishment of the hotel’s garden and conservatory will also be introduced.
The business will be continually recruiting over the next 12 months and is expected to create 25 new jobs.
Chris Osborne, general manager, said: “Our refurbishment programme is part of our plan to become the best hotel destination in Redditch. Providing outstanding guest experience is something we’re passionate about and this latest investment will help us to keep making our facilities better and better."
The revamp is possible thanks to a loan Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
