YEAR nine and 10 students at North Bromsgrove High School raised £530 for a local homeless charity by holding a non-uniform day and sports contest.
The pupils have been taking part in the Diana Award mentoring programme which, required students to organise a social action project to raise cash for a cause of their choice.
Students voted to support the Basement Project in Bromsgrove, which supports 16 to 25-year-olds facing homelessness.
A non-uniform day and staff versus students sports competition raised an impressive £530, which was personally delivered by a group of students to Basement Project staff.
