BROADWAY Golf Club’s outgoing captains, Jim Hutchison and Brenda Corfield ended their year of office in style as they prepared a final tally on their charity funds collected during 2017.
Mr Hutchinson had chosen to support the charity Bloodwise who research cures for all blood cancers.
Bloodwise also support anyone worried about blood cancer with information and advice.
A total of £2830 was raised, with £525 added being Mr Hutchinson's share of the money raised singularly by Broadway member Bill Cook earlier in the year for both captains, making his total up to £3,355.
Ms Corfield raised £3168.88 for her chosen charity, St Richard's Hospice.
She had been passionate about choosing St Richard’s Hospice because of the care they give to patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with life-limiting illnesses– helping them towards the best quality of life possible.
Members' fundraising efforts for 2018 will focus on supporting club captain, Bernard Donoghue and ladies captain, Maggie McDivitt and their respective charities Sue Ryder and Cobalt.
