VANDALISM to a Cotswold play area "could cause harm" to children using it.
Police are investigating vandalism last week at Rye Crescent Play Area in Bourton-on-the-Water.
A Cotswolds Police tweet said: "This play area is used by primarily young children and could cause harm to them if they fall through the floor. If you have know anything about this incident please call 101 and quote incident 142 21/04/18."
A Gloucestershire Police spokesman added: "We were called at 9.50am on Saturday (21/4) to reports that a slide within the Rye Crescent Children's play park in Bourton-on-the-Water had been damaged.
"There is now a large gap between the platform at the top of the steps and start of the slide (as seen in the tweet) and this made using the slide dangerous.
"It is currently unknown when the damage took place."
