AN employee who has worked at a shopping centre in the south of the county for 25 years was treated to afternoon tea.
Chrissie Ellis has worked at Labels Shopping in Ross-on-Wye since August 1992, just a year after it opened in 1991.
The Ross resident said she can remember working in every department during that time.
She said: “I’ve loved every minute of working here at Labels. It really is the people that you work with that make all the difference to enjoying your job.”
Chrissie’s creative skills are being to put to good use in her latest position - designing and making props for events such as the store’s Christmas grotto, a role that she describes as her dream job.
Colleagues and friends put on a party with afternoon tea for Chrissie in celebration of her achievement, with colleagues from the past and present joining her for a slice of cake.
Labels Shopping provides employment for more than 120 people from the area.
The centre is located just off junction four of the M50 near Ross. Labels sells clothes, shoes, luggage, furniture and also has a farm shop, as well as a cafe.
It is open every day of the week.
