A HEALTHCARE assistant is taking to the skies to raise money for The Born Sleeping Appeal.

Jessica Latimer, 32, works at Hereford County Hospital and wants to raise as much money as possible for the appeal to fund a suite to give bereaved parents and their families a private sanctuary to use as they come to terms with the loss of their baby.

She said: "Maternity has always been my main interest - this is where I would like my career path to eventually take me.

"After hearing and seeing about the Born Sleeping Appeal that the hospital has launched I knew this was a great opportunity to do my part to help raise the funds towards the new unit.

"I have experienced this traumatic time with one of my close friends when she delivered her daughter and I saw first-hand how hard it was for her to be on the delivery suite and maternity ward."

She is doing a sky dive on June 24. To add to the appeal go to www.gofundme.com/born-sleeping-appeal
