THREE new swimming instructors are ready to work and volunteer at SpArC, Bishops Castle, having completed their swimming assistant qualifications.

Funded by the SpArC charity, this qualification increases the number of people who can swim at the centre. “We are committed to offering sports training qualifications to local people, which not only improves their skills and knowledge, but also builds additional capacity at SpArC,” said Jean Shirley, chairman of the SpArC trustees.

One of the key roles of the charity is to raise the skill levels and employment prospects of the local workforce and volunteers. The next fundraising events in aid of Save the SpArC campaign are tile painting workshops on Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and 11.
