AN inquest has been opened into the death of Kidderminster store manager Matthew Gill, whose shock disappearance sparked a massive search by friends, family and even strangers.
Mr Gill, aged 43, of Forge Road, Stourbridge, who was a department manager at B&Q in Kidderminster, was found dead in woodland off Prestwood Drive near Stourbridge on November 28 – after a high-profile seven-week search to try and find him after he went missing on October 6.
An inquest was opened by the South Staffordshire Coroner on November 28 and was adjourned until next year – with a provisional hearing date scheduled for March 6.
The cause of death was given as hanging.
