VISITORS flocked to the first day of Worcester Cathedral's Christmas tree exhibition on Saturday.
People from as far away as South Wales were among those who crowded into the cathedral's cloisters to marvel at the ingenuity of the trees' creators.
There were 91 trees on show, contributed by groups ranging from pre-schools to businesses, all based on and around the city.
The interpretations ranged from traditional to radical re-inventions of the Christmas tree idea, and visitors to the exhibition have the chance to cast votes for their favourites.
The exhibition, which was opened by the cathedral dean, the Very Reverend Peter Atkinson, and mayor Steve Mackay, will be open until Thursday, January 4. Opening hours are 9am to 6pm daily.
