A COLD day to start the weekend, but there will be increasing amounts of sunshine, according to the Met Office.
A frosty start to Saturday morning has turned brighter, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures peaking around 6°C.
It is likely to stay dry and sunny as we move into the afternoon but feel cold with a brisk easterly wind.
This evening, a widespread frost will quickly develop under the clear skies, while overnight will stay cold but dry, with some patchy cloud and lows of -3 °C.
