KIND nursery pupils from Kidderminster have raised £500 in support of a town schoolgirl who has been recently diagnosed with leukaemia.

Little Trinity Nursery and nursery parents made and sold cakes, orange hats and ribbons to show their support for eight-year-old Hunnie Morris, a pupil at Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre, who was diagnosed with leukaemia, which is cancer of the blood, in December.

Nursery Manager, Miss Gaynor Carter, said: “Wow and a great big thank you to everyone for their support and kind donations.

“I am constantly overwhelmed by the level of help we receive from our nursery families and a personal thank you to Mr O'Brien of Kaya Thai Food who donated £120 from sales through his Thai Take Away business.”

All money will be forwarded to Holy Trinity School with the final amount raised split between Birmingham Children's Hospital and Little Princess Trust, which is based at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and used to support children suffering with Leukaemia.
