I FEEL sorry for the lady in Pensnett whose cats have been shot and don't agree with such cruelty.
But I also feel sorry for budgerigar and pigeon owners whose pets have been terrified by cats trying to get into their pens, keen gardeners whose flower beds are regularly used as cat loos and people who encourage wild birds into their gardens only to see them torn apart by other people's cats.
The trouble is that many cat owners have too many cats and don't train, control or look after them enough or have them neutered. If there are a lot of cats in a house they will go into other gardens to relieve themselves. There should be more control of cat ownership.
