Balloon release will create litter
I read recently that Dudley Council will be releasing balloons in Sedgley as part of the celebrations for St George's Day in April.
The national press has been full of stories regarding the issue of plastic bags and the damage caused to wildlife.
Balloons cause just as much damage, what Dudley MBC are doing is creating litter!
Earlier this year, after a balloon release in Gornal village, I collected many balloons littering Cotwall End Valley Nature Reserve.
Balloon releases create litter and can be dangerous to wildlife. I would like to see them banned.
