Push the beauty button with the Sugababes

Keisha, Heidi and Amelle reveal the Sugababes' beauty secrets.

Ever read through a celebrity's beauty routine and groaned?

That £165 wonder cream on their designer dressing room table, the pricey weekly spa rituals, and celeb hairdresser on speed dial - they have access to things the rest of us can only dream about.

Fortunately, there are stars who are just like us when it comes to beautifying routines - like the Sugababes.

Keisha, Heidi and Amelle shun the typical celeb indulgences and stick to their trusty beauty buys.

Following their tips won't break the bank. Heidi's "obsessed with" a £3.50 nail oil, Amelle "can't live without" her £4.49 cleansing cushions, and Keisha's biggest indulgence is sleeping in a silk headscarf to keep her hair sleek.

We 'Push the Button' on the Sugababes beauty secrets. Here, Keisha, Heidi and Amelle belt out their beauty routines and favourite products.

KEISHA, 23 :: How would you describe your look?

Quite natural. I like to accentuate my eyes and keep my hair simple but occasionally experiment with longer hair extensions. I think my boyfriend prefers me natural with my hair tied back and jogging bottoms on!

:: What is your beauty routine?

On days off, I hardly ever wear any make-up. I wash my face three times a day because I suffer from really bad acne. I don't get spots, just really bad scars.

:: What's your wonder product?

Any moisturiser from The Body Shop for dry skin.

:: Biggest beauty indulgence?

I wear a silk headscarf before I go to sleep to trap the shine.

:: How do you look after your hair?

I like to get regular trims and I do change it quite a lot with the parting. I use a treatment oil once a week and Shockwaves Gloss Serum is amazing for styling.

:: What are your make-up must-haves?

Iman foundation, Lancome mascara and Vaseline, which I use on my eyes and lips.

:: Do you have a signature scent?

Dior Addict and Thierry Mugler's Angel.

:: What's your favourite stage look?

I used to have a centre parting and plait my hair the night before so my hair was really wild and crimped.

HEIDI, 25 :: How would you describe your look?

I'm quite a girly girl. I love that old school Hollywood glamour look, it makes me feel really girly.

:: What is your beauty routine?

I never bothered to moisturise my body. Now I do it everyday and I can't believe I never used to. My skin feels so much better.

:: What's your wonder product?

I'm addicted to Creative Nail Design's Solar oil. You just paint it on over your polish and it stops your nails drying out.

:: Biggest beauty indulgence?

If we get a day off I get a facial every so often, especially after a tour because your skin gets so clogged up. The stage make-up is so thick. I can't live without Johnson's 3in1 cleansing wipes to remove my make-up - they're a godsend!

:: How do you look after your hair?

I try and put a deep conditioning treatment on most weeks. I've got really fine hair and it gets so ruined having it styled everyday.

:: What are your make-up must-haves?

Dior Airflash foundation, L'Oreal Telescopic mascara, Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge, MAC Costa Chic lipstick, Guerlain Terracotta Sunless Tanning Gel.

:: Do you have a signature scent?

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.

:: What's your favourite stage look?

I love the eyeliner ticks and red lips look. I've learned from our make-up artist that you either accentuate the eyes or lips, but never do both at the same time.

AMELLE, 24 :: How would you describe your look?

A classy, sexy look. I'm loving my big curls at the moment too, it's very natural. I used to hate having curly hair until about six months ago.

:: What is your beauty routine?

I always body brush when I'm in the shower. I've got a pumice stone which takes all the dead skin off too. Bio-Oil is amazing for dry patches.

:: What's your wonder product?

Neutrogena Pure Glow Cleansing Cushions - they're the best product I've ever used. You just scrub with one side and foam with the other.

:: Biggest beauty indulgence?

I love body massage treatments, especially after a heavy few weeks at work to wind down.

:: How do you look after your hair?

My hair's really curly and Shockwaves producst are great because they don't dry my hair out. I tend to do around one or two big conditioning treatments a week because it gets styled so much.

:: What are your make-up must-haves?

Lancome mascara, Olay Total Effects Touch of Sunshine, MAC blusher, Lancome Star Bronzer.

:: Do you have a signature scent?

Jo Malone Blue Agava & Cacao :: What's your favourite stage look?

I loved the last Change tour. It was really hardcore dark eyes, so pretty punky with red and green colours.

:: TRIED AND TESTED Bliss Triple Oxygen Facial, £145 for 85 minutes (020 7590 6146/www.blisslondon.co.uk) Tired of looking at pictures of glowing celebs and then your own lacklustre skin? Give your complexion a mega-makeover with the Triple Oxygen facial. After an oxygen wrap, an oxygen-boosted milk mask and a full-on hit of pure oxygen spray - as well as a thorough fruit wash and head, neck and shoulder massage - this commuter's clogged, lined, grey-tinged face was left clear, smooth and peachy. The effects lasted for weeks. A glam treat that really works.

BEAUTY BULLETIN :: FRAGRANCE FANATICS The threat of recession isn't affecting the premium fragrance market. Selfridges' customers are splashing the cash to spritz on niche connoisseur fragrances, like Amouage, £125; Tom Ford Private Blend, £95; and Miller Harris, £110. Sales for niche scents have doubled in the last two years. Smells like a credit crunch beauty backlash to us.
