THE top three in the Stourbridge Snooker League Premier Division all rattled off 5-0 wins.

Leaders Brierley Hill Sports A were never seriously threatened at Stourbridge Institute A with Callum Downing racking-up his 17th win of the campaign.

Nearest challengers Norton Social A remain nine points behind despite overwhelming Pockets SC A, with their opponents scoring only 83 points in all across five frames.

Five points further back are defending champions, Kinver Constitutional A, who took all the frames at home to Pockets SC B.

Chris Jones, with runs of 32 and 57, played particularly well.

Elsewhere, Amblecote Institute A’s Rob Clark set a new high break mark with 87 in his side’s 4-1 win at home to Snooks A, while Snooks B won 3-2 against Brierley Hill C despite blowing a two frame advantage.

Hotshots SC had an impressive 4-1 success at Brierley Hill B.

Kingswinford RBL A retained their six-point lead at the top of the First Division after a dominant week for promotion-chasing sides.

The Legion won 4-1 at Dibdale, while Netherton Sports and Social kept up the pressure with a 4-1 success of their own against Amblecote Institute B.

Amblecote RBL are a little further back following a hard-earned 4-1 win at Norton Social B, while fourth-placed Kingswinford Snooker Centre kept up the perfect symmetry by recording the same winning score against Stourbridge Institute B.

John Rees won the decider against Jon Perry as Kingswinford Constitutional A scraped past Kinver B 3-2, while Wombourne staged a remarkable recovery to pip Brierley Hill Sports D by a single frame after initially trailing 2-0.

Martin Collingridge’s 36 break was the highlight of Second Division leaders Baggeridge Social’s 3-2 win at home to Amblecote Institute C.

Their lead at the top was cut to a point as Kinver Constitutional D claimed all five frames at Kingswinford RBL B, with Graham Tranter claiming his 18th win of the season.

Nick Aston won his 18th frame for Stourbridge Institute C in a 3-2 win at home to Kingswinford Cons, while in the all-Amblecote clash the D team pipped the E team by the same score.
