STOURBRIDGE International Masters Welterweight champion Steven Pearce will be plotting to add the vacant British Masters strap to his impressive string of titles on March 1.

Pearce is set to square up against Sheffield’s Ryan Hardy for the crown at Walsall Town Hall.

The fight follows on from the Stourbridge welterweight’s stunning fifth round knockout of Stafford’s Rob Hunt for the International masters belt back in November.

Hardy will be desperate to bounce back from his first professional defeat.

Following a series of six straight victories, Hardy lost out on points against up and coming prospect Nathan Dale just two months ago.

Also featuring on the same card will be Dudley light middleweight Kyle ‘The Style’ Spencer, who makes a welcome return to the ring, looking to put a frustrating 2013 behind him.

Spencer won his first six professional fights and then started 2013 with a bang by securing a first round knock out victory over Jimmy Price.

However, Spencer suffered a number of postponements and only had one more fight, a hard-fought points victory over Dee Mitchell last May.

Another local boxer due to appear at Walsall is Halesowen’s highly rated super middleweight prospect Lennox Clarke who will be looking to record his third straight win.
