DUDLEY light middleweight boxer Kyle ‘The Style’ Spencer can’t wait to get back in the ring next month.

Spencer wants to put 10 months of frustration and inactivity behind him after having started 2013 with a bang.

He made it five wins out of five by blowing Jimmy Price away with a first round knockout.

Spencer followed up by securing a points victory over Dee Mitchell last May.

Since then, Spencer has been left kicking his heels as a number of potential contests faiuled to materialise.

He admitted: “It’s been a difficult few months. I thought I’d be out again last July, but that never happened. I was due to be on a show in September, which I trained for, but then the show got cancelled.

“Then I thought I’d landed a Bronze Masters shot in November, but that show got cancelled as well. I just want to put last year behind me now.

“It was difficult to stay focused. I had 15 to 16 weeks training for fights that fell through.

“As a result, I haven’t been earning from the sport, but on the flip side, my core fitness is still there”.

Spencer is set to feature on the EJKO Promotions March Mayhem show which takes place at Walsall Town Hall on March 1st when he will be looking to make it seven wins out of seven.

Stourbridge welterweight Steven Pearce tops the bill with his British Masters clash with Sheffield’s Ryan Hardy.
