HALESOWEN'S Kristian Thomas is preparing to compete at the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships in Bulgaria.
Thomas, 25, will make up a five-man Team GB outfit that will look to secure gold in Sofia this weekend.
The men will be hoping to go one better than Great Britain's women. The team of Hannah Whelan, Rebecca Downie, Rebecca Tunney, Claudia Fragapane, and Ruby Harrold claimed silver last weekend.
The team became the first GB men’s side to claim a major title in Montpellier two years ago before going on to win a team bronze at London 2012.
Thomas, Sam Oldham, Max Whitlock, Daniel Keatings and Daniel Purvis will now look to defend their title.
