HALESOWEN swimmers travelled to Cheslyn Hay for the second round of the Mercian Summer League on Saturday, June 14.
The swimmers faced tough opposition and after the opening relays the team found themselves in a battling third place.
However, a series of strong individual performance saw Halesowen draw steadily into a solid second spot and by the end of the gala were comfortable runners-up overall.
Double event winners were George Davies in the backstroke and butterfly and Daniel Hill in the individual medley and butterfly. Other individual event winners were Ruby Fell, Kitty Luscombe and Ryan Spoor in the breaststroke, Dermot Cameron in the butterfly and Max Rollason on the freestyle.
Hales finished with a total score of 197 with winners Stratford Sharks on 251.
