CRADLEY ace Nathan Greaves fell agonisingly short of a rostrum finish in the British Under 19 Championship at Kent.
The popular teenager put in a strong showing at Central Park, storming to two classy race victories on his way to 11 points.
He ended just outside the top three as Oliver Greenwood claimed the title ahead of Josh Bates and Jack Kingston.
It was nonetheless an encouraging performance from Greaves as he continued his strong run of form.
Meanwhile, Cradley colleagues Max Clegg and Danny Phillips both pulled out of the meeting.
Clegg was unable to make his way to Kent due to transport issues. Phillips opted to sit out as he aims to regain full fitness following his nasty crash last week.
