CAUSEWAY United manager Andy Mole says he was pleased with his side despite them slipping to defeat last Saturday.

United, who had previously won back-to-back games, lost 4-2 away to Loughborough University.

Goals from Jack Pearlman and Matthew Gardener couldn't prevent defeat.

However, Mole thinks his team could have got something from the contest and will have learned a lot from the encounter as they look to continue their progress.

He said: "Loughborough can be a good footballing side but we still could have got something from the game. We were 4-1 down at half time but had a much better second half.

"More importantly, I think the team will have learned a lot about dealing with a team that likes to play that way. It will hopefully help us progress and move forwards despite the loss."

Causeway will have Aaron Lloyd back for this Saturday's game at The Grove against Coleshill Town.

Hugh Sproston could also be available after a long-term absence.

"Coleshill are a good team so it will be another tough test for us," added Mole. "Hopefully we can continue our good form."
