IAN Long says he has no hesitation in utilising his squad as Tividale prepare for a hectic week of cup football.

After two successive away league draws, Tivi are now preparing for three cup fixtures in five days.

They were due take on Nuneaton Town at home in the Birmingham Senior Cup last night before welcoming Wyrley to The Beeches tonight as they start the defence of their JW Hunt Cup crown.

Their busy week will culminate with an FA Trophy clash away at Gresley this Saturday.

Long said: "The most important fixture of the three is the game against Gresley. It would be great for the club to have a good run in the Trophy.

"With that in mind, a few players will be getting a rest as others get an opportunity to play mid-week.

"We currently have a big squad and I am fully prepared to use it. I don't have any problem with using the squad and am confident in the players that will come in."

Tivi go into the cup games on the back of two frustrating away draws.

They drew 0-0 last Tuesday against Stafford Rangers before a 1-1 stalemate with Stockbridge Park Steels last Saturday.

Long was left ruing missed chances once again.

"It was the same story for us. We are creating enough chances to win games but are failing to take them," added Long.

"A big positive has been how strong our defence has been. We now need to start taking our chances to kill of teams."

Lee Downing is now available for selection after returning from injury.
