DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore said he won't get carried away after his team secured three consecutive wins to lift them into the top five of the West Midlands League.

Sports beat Smethwick Rangers 4-1 away last Wednesday before claiming a 2-1 home win against Shifnal last Saturday.

The back-to-back victories followed the previous week's away success over Shawbury.

Gore said: "We won't be getting carried away. It has been a good start and we are all pleased with our progress, but we know how quickly it can change.

"There are still areas we want to improve and we now have a tough run of fixtures."

Sports will travel to top of the table side Bridgnorth this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Dudley Town suffered back-to-back league defeats.

They lost 4-0 to Malvern at the Dell last Wednesday and then lost 5-1 away to Bridgnorth last Saturday.

They were set to take on Sporting Khalsa away last night ahead of Saturday's trip to Bilston.

Chairman Steve Austin said: "It has been a tough run but we are looking to getting back to playing the teams around and below us soon."
