CAUSEWAY United's defending must improve, says manager Andy Mole.

Mole also confirmed he is targeting new signings as a way of improving his back line.

Causeway lost 3-1 at home to Continental Star last Saturday before picking up a 3-1 home win against lower league opponents Darlaston in the JW Hunt Cup on Tuesday night.

Mole was unhappy with the level of defending in both games.

He said: "We need to improve our defending by a long way. We keep leaking goals.

"I have approached a number of players and will hopefully be able to make some signing to improve us at the back and freshen it up.

"We have conceded early goals in our last two games and it is becoming a big concern."

United will face fourth-placed Quorn away this Saturday as the look to get back to winning ways.

They will be without injured duo Darren Whitley and Dreniz Bala and the suspended Jack Pearlman.
