CRADLEY Town suffered their third successive defeat when losing 1-0 to Wolverhampton Casuals last Saturday.

The Hammers failed to bounce back from the previous weekend when travel troubles for the squad saw them lose 8-1 away to Ellesmere Rangers after fielding just eight players.

The result leaves Cradley fourth from bottom of the West Midlands Premier on just 16 points.

They will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Shifnal Town to The Beeches this Saturday.

Cradley's first game of the new year sees them travel to Wellington on January 3.

Meanwhile, in the Midlands Football League, Causeway United are preparing to face local rivals Lye Town at The Grove on Boxing Day.

United have not played since they suffered defeat in the league cup at the hands of Westfields on December 16.

Causeway are set to be without key men Aaron Lloyd and Jack Pearlman through suspension.
