CHAIRMAN Steve Austin says the focus will be on performance levels when Dudley Town face promotion contenders AFC Bridgnorth this Saturday.

The Robins will welcome second-placed Bridgnorth to the Dell Stadium after finding better form in recent weeks.

Austin said: "Bridgnorth will be tough but we go into the game in good form.

"It is all about our own performance. Regardless of the score we will just be looking to reach the levels we are capable of."

Town go into the game after claiming four points from two local derbies.

They beat Dudley Sports 1-0 before a late penalty last Saturday meant they had to settle for a point against Cradley Town.

"It was frustrating to concede a soft penalty but a draw was probably a fair result," added Austin.

Meanwhile, Dudley Sports lost their fourth consecutive game with a 2-0 home defeat against Shawbury United.

They will look to get back to winning ways when taking on basement boys Shifnal Town this Saturday.

Manager Tony Gore said: "We did well against Shawbury and deserved something from the game. It is now all about repeating that against Shifnal whilst doing better in the final third.

"I got the reaction I wanted from the players."

Gore said he was now looking to reshape his squad after losing five players since the turn of the year.

Brothers Dan and Luke Douse made their debuts last weekend and Joe Colley and Scott Sumner also featured.
