LEWIS Jones hit a hat-trick as Halesowen Members got the better of Dudley Borough United in the Dudley and Cradley League's Horace Benjamin Cup.

A slow start from Dudley was punished as Jones netted a penalty on 10 minutes to set visitors Hales on route to a 3-2 victory.

Sustained pressure made it difficult for United and Jones doubled the Halesowen lead from a corner on 25 minutes. Mikey Koppel was able to reduce the deficit just before the break following a set-piece routine.

A scrappy opening to the second half saw Dave Calder make it 2-2 with a long-range effort for Dudley. The game was end-to-end for the majority of the second half but Jones completed his hat-trick on 80 minutes.

Old Lark beat Forest Falcons 2-0 away from home.

First half goals from Nathan Jones and Adam Harrison secured the win.

Lloyds claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Roebuck.

In an end to end first half both teams created chances but thanks to both goalkeepers neither could find the net.

The second half was similar to the first but new signing Terry Huxley on his debut sealed the points for Lloyds in the last few minutes.

Barley Mow Wanderers beat High Acres K'ford 2-0 away.

In the Premier Division, Hope Tavern claimed a convincing 7-0 away success over King William.

A brace from Geoff Hill was added to by Danny Smith, Todd Warner, Chris Brown, Lee Chilton and Morton Snead .
