A LATE penalty from Chris Bladen gave Cradley Town a share of the spoils against local rivals Dudley Town.

The spot kick cancelled out an opener from Dudley's Lee Smith.

The draw at The Beeches last Saturday was the first time the Hammers had played for two weeks. However, the result wasn't enough to move them from their position fourth from bottom in the West Midlands League.

Cradley, who have now gone six games without a win, will have an even tougher task on their hands this Saturday when they go head to head with promotion contenders Sporting Khalsa.

Meanwhile, in the Midland Football League, new Causeway United boss Mark Jones claimed his second win since taking charge.

United beat Quorn 1-0 at The Grove on Tuesday night after Aaron Lloyd hit the only goal of the game in the 27th minute.

The result saw Causeway bounce back from consecutive defeats.

They lost 3-1 away to Coleshill Town last Saturday after previously losing to Stourport Swifts the week before.

United will look to build on the Quorn result when they welcome Rocester this Saturday.
