LYE Town's slump in form continued as they lost 3-0 away to Quorn on Tuesday night.

The defeat handed Town their third successive defeat where they have also conceded three goals.

However, joint-boss Martin Thomas is confident his players will turn it around and targeted the next two games to return to winning ways.

Lye will face Heath Hayes this Saturday before welcoming Continental Star to Stourbridge Road next Tuesday. Both sides currently sit in the bottom four of the Midland Football League's Premier Division.

Thomas said: "Good players don't become bad players overnight.

"These things happen in football and we now have to get back on track.

"We are not making our possession count and are being too open during games and leaving too many gaps around the pitch. Perhaps we were a little too confident after the previous good run had taken us to the top of the table.

"We now have two games coming up that we shouldn't lose, even though anything can happen in football. They give us the chance to get back on track."

Thomas also confirmed that he and joint-boss Darren Goodall will consider shaking things up.

"We have a good group of players at Lye and maybe now is the time to mix it up," he added. "We may start to look at players that have not been getting games on a regular basis and see what they have to offer."
