CAUSEWAY United crashed out of the Birmingham Senior Cup when losing to Nuneaton Town on Tuesday night.

Mark Jones' men lost 2-0 at The Grove after Jack Nardiello hit a brace for the visitors to set them up with a semi-final tie against West Bromwich Albion.

Nardiello gave Nuneaton the lead in the 38th minute with a 25-yard shot that went in off the bar.

It took the forward just ten minutes of the second half to double his side's advantage and put the game beyond Causeway.

United will now return to league action when welcoming Basford United this Saturday.

They go into the game after picking up four points from their last two league games.

They backed up a 3-0 over Boldmere St Michaels by claiming a share of the spoils away at Shepshed Dynamo last Saturday.

Joshua Thomas March and Mark Smith were on the scoresheet for Causeway as they drew 2-2. Only a goal in the last ten minutes prevented them from claiming back-to-back league wins since the first month of the season.
