TEAM Dudley crashed to a 5-3 defeat to the hands of fellow strugglers Penncroft who deservedly gained the points.
Despite having the better chances in the first half goals from Curtis Ellis and Ashley Evans gave Penncroft a two goal lead before a determined run and finish from Jahmal Patterson on 44 minutes gave Team Dudley hope for optimism.
Within a minute of the restart Ellis made it 3-1 before Evans took the game out of Dudley's reach when he ran through on goal on 53 minutes. Team Dudley attempted to get into the game with Hill and Hawthorne both going close but Tom Griffiths stood steadfast in the Penncroft goal.
Jake Lloyd increased Penncroft’s lead with a superb strike on 68 minutes. Team Dudley managed to rally with leading goal scorer James Hill netting twice in the 70th and 75th minute. Despite causing further problems in the home defence Penncroft were able to see out the 5-3 score line.
