SPEEDY Sam Lloyd-Perks proved a clear winner of the Action Heart five-mile road race.
The Halesowen runner romped home over 40 seconds clear of his closest rival by clocking 27mins 30secs.
He was chased home by Wolverhampton and Bilston's Steve Abrahams in 28mins 11secs, while another local runner, Dave Nation of Dudley and Stourbridge Harriers (DASH) was third in 28mins 15secs.
Fellow DASH runner Ian Mansell came home sixth in 28mins 52 secs with Carson Tweedie of the Wassall Grove based Cobra club was 16th while Darren Bishop led home Dudley Kingswinford Running Club in 19th place.
David Rose was first back for Stourbridge Running club in 35th spot with team mate Grace Allen coming back in 90th place but was the seventh woman overall.
A tremendous total of over 450 runners completed the course which took place around the streets of Dudley and helped raise funds for the Russells Hall Hospital based charity.
