DUDLEY Town continued their late-season progress with a 5-0 away win at fifth-placed Shawbury United last Saturday.

Shawn Devonport and Rhys Morgan both netted twice and Alex Byatt hit another as the Robins ran out comfortable winners.

Chairman Steve Austin said: "That win really highlights this side's potential and how well they are developing as a team.

"We really want to keep this group together next season and see what we can achieve. They have a great team spirit and work hard for each other.

"We can now look to build on that performance as the season comes to an end."

Town were set to face Bewdley away last night before taking on the same opposition at the Dell Stadium this Saturday.

Meanwhile, the club's under-21 boss Mark Phillips looks set to leave to take the manager's seat at Stourport Swifts.

Phillips has played a major role in gaining cup success for Dudley's youngsters this season and his loss will be seen as a big blow to the Town.
