HIGH Acres K'ford claimed Dudley and Cradley League cup final success with victory over Lloyds.

They put their name on the Horace Benjamin Competition Cup with a 4-3 win at Dudley Sports last Friday.

Lloyds started the match the quickest and forced High Acres keeper Roy Carter into the first of many world class saves after only 28 seconds. At this point it was all Lloyds and Alex Perry scored for them after two minutes.

Lloyds continued to dominate the game for the next 20 minutes with High Acres sending up long ball after long ball to no avail.

High Acres then started to settle down and started to string passes together and were rewarded on 32 minutes when Josh Mills scored the first of his hat-trick.

High Acres now started to dominate the match and on 36 minutes a Steve Hathaway direct free kick flew into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

As the half drew to a close, Lloyds picked up the tempo with a direct free kick being tipped over the bar by Carter on 41 minutes.

At the start of the second half it was High Acres who started the brighter and increased their lead on 50 minutes with a goal from Mills.

High Acres replaced Brett Richards with Scott Hickman on 52 minutes and from the restart Lloyds sent the ball into the box and were awarded a spot kick that Rees Harper converted to make it 3-2.

This got Lloyds back in to the game with attack after attack keeping High Acres' defence and keeper on their toes.

On 67 minutes, Lloyds found a leveller through by Aaron Lloyd. Both teams now pushed for the winner as extra time loomed large.

However, on 87 minutes, Ali Ahmed went down the left, turned the defender and crossed the ball into the box. It was met by Josh Mills for his hat-trick and High Acres' winner.

Meanwhile, in the Ray Turley Memorial Competition Cup final, Coseley Tavern beat Hope Tavern 4-2.

Tom Piggott opened the scoring for Coseley by finding the back of the net from the edge of the box.

Hope drew level on 12 minutes after Kieran Snead got up to score from the spot after being fouled in the area.

On 20 minutes, Coseley again took the lead when Stuart Hillman shot from the left hand side of the box into the roof of the net for Coseley's second and the first of his hat-trick

Coseley increased their lead further on 40 minutes when Piggott collected the ball in his own half after a Hope attack broke down and put an excellent ball through the middle to Hillman, who struck the ball into the roof of the net.

Coseley came out strong at the start of the second half and increased their lead on 47 minutes when good work and an inch perfect cross from Darrel Smith was met by Hillman for his hat-trick to secure the victory.

In the Harry Downing Trophy, Bunch lost 3-0 at home to Sedgley White Lion.

Will Griffin hit a brace and Aaron Gordon added another.

Saracens Head beat Britannia 5-4.

In Division One, Barley Mow Wanderers beat Dudley Borough United 4-0.
