A THUNDERSTORM spared Coombs Wood’s blushes when they entertained Feckenham last Saturday.

Batting first, Wood were bowled out for a modest 196 inside 40 overs. In reply, and despite three early wickets, Feckenham were on course to reach their target before the rain intervened and denied them a probable outright win.

Chaddesley Corbett will visit The Wood this Saturday.

Meanwhile, the club’s second XI are now rooted to the bottom of Division One after another sloppy display at Worcester Nomads.

The Wood were bowled out for a miserable 112, and Nomads made light work of reaching their target with just two wickets down.

The seconds travel to Bewdley this weekend looking for an improved performance and some much needed points.

An embarrassing batting display saw the thirds lose by eight wickets at Harborne.

Eight of the team failed to score in a woeful total of 58. Harborne ran out winners with plenty to spare. The thirds have a free week this Saturday.
