ALL of Coombs Wood’s games were hit by the wet weather last weekend.
The first XI posted 211 before the rain came and forced their clash at Bredon to be abandoned, while the seconds were up against it against their relegation rivals Netherton, who reached 248-8 off 45 before a storm brought proceedings to an end.
The thirds, meanwhile, were perhaps the most likely winners, declaring on 217-5 at Romsley. Their hosts were in trouble on 9-2 before play came to an end.
The firsts welcome Redditch on Saturday, with the seconds travelling the opposite way. The third team host Five Ways and are hoping to complete only their second game of a rain-hit summer.
