CRADLEY Town have brought in former Gornal Athletic boss Andy Wyton as joint-manager.

He is now working alongside Mark Jones as the Hammers prepare for the new West Midlands Premier League campaign.

The move comes after assistant Andy Mole left the club at the end of last season.

Jones said: “Andy has had success at Dudley Town and Gornal and I got him in after Andy Mole left because I thought I needed some extra help.

“I’m really pleased he has been able to join up for pre-season.

“We are new to each other and need to get used to how the other works, but everything is going well so far.”

A host of former Gornal players have now joined Cradley to link up with Wyton once again.

They include goalkeeper Rich Kennedy and forwards Geoff Hill and Dreniz Bala.

Those leaving the club this summer include Karl Gardner, Jovan Blake-Walker and Black Country Rangers-bound duo Scott Stevenson and Chris Bladen.

Jones is pleased with how pre-season preparations are going.

“Everyone is working hard and we have had some encouraging friendly results,” he added.

“Everything is on track and I’m pleased with the team.

“All I want to do now is add a couple more signings and we won’t be far off.”

Jones is on the look out for a winger and central midfielder before the season gets underway next month.
