CRADLEY Town have been handed a sponsorship boost after linking up with Dolphin Lifts ahead of the new campaign.

The Hammers are in partnership with the stairlift firm as they look to make waves in the West Midlands Premier League this season.

Town chairman Trevor Thomas explains: “This is massive news for the club. We are delighted to have joined with Dolphin Lifts.

“They will be our shirt sponsor but the deal is about more than that.

“They will support the club moving forwards and are also helping with repairs at the ground and behind the scenes as well.”

“They are keen to be very involved and build our links with the community.”

Lee Farrington, from Dolphin Lifts, added: “Being a local company ourselves, we really want to support grassroots football.”

“Football clubs are struggling and it is good to be able to help. We hope the arrangement will be good for both parties.”

Meanwhile, Town will go to Wolverhampton Sporting next week looking to pick up their first win of the season.

So far the Hammers have drawn a blank from their opening two fixtures.

Cradley, managed by Mark Jones and Andy Wyton, lost their opening league clash with Shifnal Town last Saturday.

Lewis Clarke’s strike wasn’t enough to prevent them losing 2-1 as Shifnal’s Liam Armstrong bagged a brace.

Their disappointing start to the campaign continued when they lost 1-0 at Wellington on Tuesday night.

The game against Sporting next Tuesday (3pm kick-off) will be followed by a trip to Stone Old Alleynians on August 27 (7.45pm).
